One of the things I learned in yoga was that when you are starting out or not very flexible, using some props to support you in a pose can be invaluable.

Establishing my new practice of doing yin yoga each morning has undoubtedly benefited me. At first, I was a bit resistant. What are all these strange things? But having the proper support means that I can engage in poses that would be very uncomfortable and potentially stop me from continuing.

I do more advanced classes now but use props to support me. And while I am still very unbendy, I don't feel quite so much like a loser. And it means that I am progressing - not giving up.

When we have new people starting with us in our workplace, how are we providing the props and support they need to stretch themselves, feel like they are part of the team and really start to thrive?

What's ONE THING that you think is important for a great start for newbies?
