Choose ONE THING

Getting back into work after a long weekend can be tricky.

I look at the list that Friday-afternoon-me left in preparation for this very moment, but it's hard to decide where to start.

You want EVERYTHING to be done. But to get ANYTHING we need to start with ONE THING.

Now we all know the theories and they can be a bit confusing.

> Get the easiest THING done so you have a check on that list and that gets you motivated.

> Do the challenging but important THING while you are fresh and at your best.

> Just start anywhere and get someTHING done.

But I like to take a moment and take that other advice - prioritise prioritising.

Now, Friday-afternoon-me has been smart and indicated what needs early attention, but I often find my brain has been doing some thinking of it's own over the weekend and might need to make a few changes.

So prioritising is the first THING you do for the day. It's not setting you up to do THINGs. It is a very important THING to do in it's own right - so you can get the other most important THINGs done.
