Polychromy your day

It's easy to forget that those ancient statues or friezes you admire on visits to museums, are not the grey or pale marble you see before you. Originally there were colourfully decorated. And wow ... they certainly look different.

What a vibrant world existed - whereas today, we see beauty in these pale statues, but no colour.

I like to remember this when I am feeling a little grey or monochromatic. I can brighten my appearance, environment and how I feel with external help - a colourful lippy and shiny nails, some flowers in a vase on my desk and some cheery music. All of which can help me find a better internal perspective.

So next time you are a little flat or down, polychromy your world and see what happens.
