Big data at work

Just take a moment to think about the big data that happens in your head every day.

The fastest supercomputers cannot process anywhere near the speed of the human brain.

The magnificent (and sometimes maleficent) brain at work is something worth a moments pause and awe (although I have abandoned my idea for a Brain Appreciation Day because it suffers from an unfortunate acronym).

We know that it can go wrong and be less than helpful, and can get things wrong with faulty assumptions, but it is pretty darn impressive.

So, keep it rested and nourished and stimulated and ONE THING you could do today is say, 'Thanks, Brain! Job well done'.
