Let it simmer

I was in the deep end trying to think up some ideas about an issue and make a decision, and I'll be honest, I was lost in the soup of it all.

I tried everything—advice, pros and cons, pondering till my brain felt like mashed potatoes. But nada, zilch, no epiphany.

Then it hit me: "I don't know" was my answer.

Now some ideas and decisions burst into your brain like fireworks. But others need a slow cooker. You toss in the ingredients, and for a while, it looks like a sad veggie pool party in there—just some celery, a carrot, and an onion hanging out together.

But patience is key. Let it simmer, let those flavors mix and mingle. Eventually, voila! You lift the lid, and there it is—the fully cooked idea or decision, all delicious and ready to serve.

Moral of the story? Some brainwaves need a cozy pot and time to simmer. Then, ta-da! Dinner is served.
